Founded in 2008, Stock Loan Solutions, now known as SLS Group, is a family office located in Salt Lake City, Utah that specializes in providing securities-based loans to investors and direct investments to early stage companies.
Leadership
Harvey Carmichael, CEO
Harvey Carmichael is a lifelong entrepreneur with a passion for sales and marketing and has over thirty years of experience as an equities trader and strategic consultant to companies seeking to raise capital and grow their businesses. In 2008, Harvey co-founded SLS Group to provide loans to accredited investors secured by shares of publicly traded securities.
Harvey is the head of business development where he interacts regularly with accredited investors, fund managers, family offices, and broker dealers for originating loans.
Joe Thomas, CFO
Joe Thomas has over thirty years of experience leading and operating companies focused on lending and risk management. In 2008, Joe co-founded SLS Group to provide loans to accredited investors secured by shares of publicly traded securities and to invest directly in early stage companies.
Joe leads all operations and risk management procedures to ensure deals are closed efficiently and the company’s risk is minimized.
Joe is a former CPA and holds an MBA from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science from Westminster College.
